For many children in the villages we work in, a computer screen is still a rare sight. This month, our team set up basic digital literacy corners in three rural schools — each equipped with refurbished laptops, a shared projector, and a simple curriculum built around typing, internet basics, and safe online habits.
The response from students has been immediate. Within the first week, attendance at after-school sessions doubled, with children arriving early just to get extra practice time on the keyboard.
Education is more than just learning — it is the foundation for opportunity, independence, and a better future.
Teachers report that the sessions are already spilling over into regular classwork, with students using their new typing skills to prepare assignments and presentations. For many, it’s their first real exposure to technology as a tool for learning rather than just entertainment.
We’re now working with two more schools to replicate the setup before the next academic term begins, with a longer-term goal of reaching every school in our education network within the next two years.
