This Donation Policy explains how Jeevan Dhara Foundation accepts, acknowledges, and uses donations, and outlines our approach to receipts, tax benefits, and refunds. It applies to all donations made through our Website, in person, or via bank transfer.
Every donation to Jeevan Dhara Foundation is used solely to further our charitable mission — education, women's empowerment, skill development, and child protection programs across Bihar. We are committed to transparency in how funds are raised, managed, and reported.
We currently accept donations through the following methods:
Jeevan Dhara Foundation is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, which allows donors in India to claim a partial tax deduction on eligible contributions. An official 80G receipt, including our registration number, is issued for every donation and is required to claim this benefit while filing your income tax return. Donors outside India should consult their local tax advisor, as international tax treatment of charitable donations varies by jurisdiction.
Note: Our current 80G and 12A registration numbers are available on request via our Contact page, and are printed on every official donation receipt.
Because donations directly support ongoing program costs, we generally do not offer refunds once a donation has been successfully processed. However, we will review and consider a refund request in the following circumstances:
To request a review, email info.jeevandharafoundation@gmail.com with your transaction reference number within 7 days of the donation. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 10–15 business days.
Monthly donors can pause, modify, or cancel their recurring contribution at any time by emailing info.jeevandharafoundation@gmail.com or calling our office — no reason needs to be given, and there is no cancellation fee. Changes are typically actioned before the next scheduled charge, provided the request is received at least 3 business days in advance.
Donations are allocated across program delivery, essential operations, and monitoring & evaluation, in line with the proportions disclosed in our annual report. Where a donor specifies a particular project or program at the time of giving, we make every reasonable effort to direct funds accordingly; if a specified project is completed, oversubscribed, or discontinued, funds will be redirected to the closest matching active program unless the donor requests otherwise.
An automatic acknowledgement is sent to your email immediately after a successful donation. Your official 80G tax receipt follows by email within 7 working days. If you haven't received your receipt within this window, please check your spam folder before contacting info.jeevandharafoundation@gmail.com.
Your personal and payment information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share donor information with third parties for marketing purposes, and donor names are never published without explicit consent.
If you have a concern about a donation, receipt, or how funds were used, please write to info.jeevandharafoundation@gmail.com with the details. We aim to acknowledge all grievances within 3 business days and resolve them within 15 business days.
