A skill without a job at the end of it is only half the solution. That’s why, alongside our vocational training courses, we’ve spent the last few months building direct partnerships with local businesses willing to hire our graduates.
This quarter, twelve local businesses — from electronics repair shops to small manufacturing units — signed on as hiring partners, agreeing to give our trained youth priority consideration for open roles and apprenticeships.
Practical skills increase job readiness and open doors to better employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
The results have been encouraging: over 70% of graduates from our most recent skill development batch have moved into paid work or apprenticeships within three months of finishing their course — well above what we’d normally expect without direct employer partnerships.
We’re now formalising these relationships into a standing "hiring circle," where partner businesses can post openings directly to our graduate network, and our team helps match candidates based on the specific skills each business needs.
